Week 10: Photo Story

I followed Jeanne Burrows to her work on November 29th.  She is currently finishing her x-ray tech clinicals at Lebanon Community Hospital.  She went back to school at the age of fifty-two prior to her divorce. Previously, she was a stay at home mother for over twenty years of her life, and she also home-schooled all six of her now grown children. Burrows mentions that going back to school and delving into a new career after so many years is a struggle. Burrows also plans on attending MRI school after she finishes her clinicals. Jeanne always seems to have a positive outlook and is excited for the "new chapter" of her life

I was able to capture Jeanne Burrows on the job as she positioned a patient and consoled her on November 29th. She mentioned to me that her favorite part about being an x-ray technician is that she gets to be around people

While Jeanne Burrows is home, she is usually working outside or in her house. Here she was raking leaves at the start of the new season.

Jeanne Burrows works on the fantasy/fiction novel that she is writing in her free time. Her favorite pass time is drinking tea and editing her novel. The book revolves around young romance and fictional creatures

I visited Jeanne Burrows the very day after thanksgiving and saw her decorating, wrapping presents, and getting ready for Christmas. She is very close to god and the holiday is "close to her heart." She likes to wrap and decorate early, because Christmas time is always a cheerful time for her and she gets excited about her children who always come home for the holidays
